Greetings, neighbors! Kendra is seeking your vote in the September election for The Mill at Broadway Community Association Board of Directors. Read on to see why Kendra is a great candidate to represent you.

History
Growing up just across the freeway in the Southside Park neighborhood, Kendra has experienced the transition of our community first hand. She is deeply rooted in this community, and is very excited to be a part of what is in store.

Experience
Kendra has served in leadership positions with several organizations in recent years. Most recently, she chaired the Durham Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission, a volunteer body appointed by Durham’s City and County elected officials to advise them on active transportation matters. Kendra also served as Membership Coordinator for the Buffalo Chips Running Club, Sacramento’s oldest and largest running club, and a 501c(3) non-profit (just like our HOA). In that role, she was the first point of contact for many new members, and provided outreach and communications for the club. Last but not least, Kendra was responsible for the accounting for a local non-profit with a $500,000 annual budget, including record keeping and reporting.

Professionalism

Kendra is a transportation planner by trade, and focuses her time on helping communities be more active, sustainable, and healthy through bicycling and walking. She understands how local and state governments operate, and can help the Board navigate complicated bureaucratic matters. Kendra is well-versed in Board of Directors’ procedures and processes. She also regularly presents at City Council and Board of Supervisor meetings throughout California for her clients, and would be happy to do the same if needed to advance a request or opinion for the Board!
